Peyback Foundation
Provides Meal To 600 Needy Families
December 2, 2004
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and his PeyBack
Foundation joined forces with Marsh Supermarkets to provide
meals for 600 needy families in Indianapolis. The program, "Taking
Care of Those in Need," was held at Riverside Park on November
23.
Each recipient was treated to a bag full of groceries that
included a ham, corn, potatoes, rolls, green beans, macaroni
and cheese, pudding and juice. PeyBack Foundation volunteers
along with Vice President Ashley Manning greeted each car as
they arrived at the park, filling each car with the groceries.
The Foundation selected the families through various community
agencies and schools across the city.
"We wanted to do something this year that had a huge impact
on families," Manning said. "Thanksgiving was always
a special day for me growing up and I wanted each child to have
a meal with their family. I appreciate the support of Marsh
in making this happen."
The PeyBack Foundation would like to thank the countless volunteers
who helped bag the groceries and distribute them to the families.
