Children Get Early Start On Christmas Thanks To Foundation

December 6, 2004

The PeyBack Foundation kicked off the holiday season early and in style on Thursday with a special event at Toys R Us in Castleton. More than 10 PeyBack Foundation volunteers joined 10 special children for an early shopping spree before the doors opened to the public. The shopping spree began at 6:30 a.m.

PeyBack Foundation President Peyton Manning selected children from Make a Wish Indiana, People's Burn Foundation and St. Vincent's Children Hospital for a special shopping spree. The children arrived early and left with plenty of early Christmas presents. Among the hot items were XBOX games, Video Now's and stuffed animals.

Also, the volunteers spent more than two hours shopping for the WRTV Toy Drive headed up forecaster Kevin Gregory. The toys were delivered to the Channel 6 studio later that morning courtesy of FED EX. The Foundation would like to thank all the volunteers who sacrificed their morning to make an impact on Indianapolis children.

The Foundation will be hosting holiday events in Indianapolis, New Orleans, and Tennessee in the next several weeks. Stay tuned to www.peytonmanning.com for pictures and updates on the events.
