Second Grade Students In Tennessee Receive Early Presents

December 29, 2004

Second grade students at Beaumont Elementary had several surprise visitors on Wednesday, December 15. The PeyBack Foundation, established by former Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning, stopped by the school and distributed books and t-shirts to more than 50 second grade students for the holidays. University of Tennessee running back Gerald Riggs spoke to the children about the importance of reading and listening to their teachers. Following the distribution of the gifts, the children enjoyed pizza and juice for lunch.
