The PeyBack Foundation took its holiday show on the road to New Orleans on Friday, December 17. The Foundation gave the entire student body at Desire Street Academy an early holiday which included a morning away from school.

The day started with more than 150 students visiting Barnes & Noble Bookstore where each student was allowed to purchase $20 in books courtesy of the Foundation. The shopping took more than two hours as the students carefully searched the store for the right selection.

Following the shopping spree, the students were bused back to school. While students enjoyed pizza in the gymnasium, they each received numerous gifts including a pair of Reebok tennis shoes. Other gifts included Reebok t-shirts, Indianapolis Colts hats and a Wheaties box featuring Peyton Manning.

Manning was born and raised in New Orleans and distributes grants and holds several events year in the city.
