2005 Holiday Happenings

December 16, 2005

PeyBack Foundation President and Indianapolis Colts quarterback, Peyton Manning hosted the fourth annual PeyBack Holiday Celebration at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis on Monday, December 12. The invitation list included more than 900 children from 20 different Indianapolis community agencies.

This special event was by invitation only and included pizza, special holiday presents, a PeyBack Foundation tee shirt and a blue #18 knit hat, visit with Santa and the opportunity to visit the nationally renowned museum.

Peyton himself enjoyed a visit with Santa where he asked for all to stay healthy for the New Year. He also took his annual race down the special Yule Slide. He definitely had as much fun as all the children!!

The following organizations were invited to Monday's event:

Indianapolis Boys & Girls Clubs Building Blocks Academy
Martin Luther King Multi-Service Center Child Advocates (CASA)
Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center Make a Wish Indiana

The Foundation hosted its holiday event for participants in the St. Vincent Children's Hospital "True Heroes" program on Monday, December 5th with a shopping trip to Barnes and Noble and pizza afterwards

Also, the Foundation hosted special events in Knoxville, Tennessee at Beaumont Elementary School, where 90 first graders received a PeyBack Foundation tee shirt, #18 knit hat and a book. We also visited the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley and had a pizza party for 200 teenagers where we distributed tee shirts, hats and hooded sweatshirts. Due to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the Foundation is assisting organizations in New Orleans financially this holiday season.
