PEYBACK FOUNDATION AWARDS $400,000 IN GRANTS TO 85 COMMUNITY AGENCIES
“Over the past decade the PeyBack Foundation has had the privilege to
donate over $3.4 million dollars to youth organizations in Indiana,
Tennessee and New Orleans enabling children with opportunities in which
they can learn and grow,” said Peyton Manning, Foundation President.
“This year, we are happy to
partner with 85 youth related charities assisting in the empowerment of
thousands of at risk children and their families in communities that
have provided so much support for me and my family.
I am proud of the work and passionate belief of the PeyBack
Foundation and the organizations we work with each year to provide
positive experiences and opportunities for so many deserving kids.”
A total of $400,000 was distributed to youth based organizations in
Indiana, Tennessee and Louisiana.
$196,000 given to 40 organizations in Indiana and $105,500 given
to 25 organizations in Tennessee; $98,500 was given to 20 Louisiana
based charities.
More than 450 applications were received.
The PeyBack Foundation, a public non-profit corporation, was established
by Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning in 1999 to promote the
future success of disadvantaged youth by assisting programs that provide
leadership growth and opportunities for children at risk.
The Foundation has donated more than $3.4 million through its
grant program since its inception.
Requests for grants are accepted from agencies and organizations
actively advancing the welfare of disadvantaged children in Indiana,
Louisiana and Tennessee. All requests for financial assistance are given
careful consideration by the PeyBack Foundation and judged on the unique
merits of the individual agency, its goal and mission. Each organization
must complete a PeyBack Foundation grant application to be considered.
The deadline for the 2011 grants is February 1.
