Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and his PeyBack Foundation hosted PeyBack Classic V on October 8 at the RCA Dome. More than 7,500 fans attended the doubleheader.

In the opener, Lawrence North (5-3) defeated Terre Haute South (2-6) 31-15 behind 141 yards from running back J.T. Owens. The nightcap featured two Class 5A teams ranked in the Top 5. Warren Central used a strong rushing attack to get by North Central 35-34.

"First, I want to thank everyone involved in making the event a success," Manning said. "It was great to see the students and band getting into the games. We are really pleased with this event and the opportunities we have provided for Indiana high school athletes."

The event was sponsored by the PeyBack Foundation's official sponsors: American Family Insurance, Huntington Bank, Marsh Supermarket, Mastercard and St. Vincent Sports Medicine. Indiana Sports Corporation along with the PeyBack Foundation served as event organizers.

Manning established the PeyBack Foundation in 1999 to help disadvantaged youth build a successful future for themselves. PeyBack accomplishes its mission through helping established community-based programs provide fundamental leadership and growth opportunities for kids.

The PeyBack Foundation focuses its efforts in a three state region and has donated more than $850,000 to youth organizations in Indiana, Tennessee and Louisiana since its inception. In 2004, The PeyBack Foundation distributed more than $145,000 in grants to 25 different community agencies in those states.
