Providing Leadership and Growth Opportunities for Children at Risk

PeyBack Foundation Receives a $12,500 NFL Charities Grant

1:10 PM - 4/6/11

The PeyBack Foundation has been awarded an NFL Charities Grant for $12,500.  NFL Charities has given more than $17 million to player foundations over the past two decades with $1 million being awarded this year.  In addition to Peyton Manning, grant recipients this year include Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, and Philip Rivers.  A total of 87 grants were awarded.

The NFL Charities grant will be used by the PeyBack Foundation to support the Peyton’s Pals Program.  The PeyBack Foundation works with Child Advocates in Indianapolis to select 15 to 20 teenagers each year to participate in this year-round program.  The Foundation sponsors a series of special events with at least one event a month.  The purpose of the program is to expose the children to a variety of educational, cultural and community service activities throughout the year.  The program concentrates on living a healthy lifestyle and helps participants deal with peer, family and school pressures.

NFL Charities is a non-profit organization created by the 32 member clubs of the National Football League to enable the teams to collectively make grants to charitable and worthwhile causes on a national scale.
