Thanksgiving Grocery Giveaway
On Tuesday, November 21 the PeyBack Foundation partnered with Marsh Supermarkets for the annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway to provide 700 families in the Indianapolis area Thanksgiving dinner. Volunteers from both organizations gathered in Riverside Park on the west side of Indianapolis to facilitate the drive thru food giveaway. The 700 families were selected from organizations throughout the city and were each given a certificate good for one Thanksgiving dinner. Certificates were redeemable for one 8 lb ham, a 2 liter of pop, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cornbread, green beans, corn, and pudding. All leftover food at the conclusion of the evening was donated to Wheeler Mission Ministries in downtown Indianapolis, offering shelter, food, and clothing to men, women, and children in need.
The PeyBack Foundation and Marsh Supermarkets are proud to support needy families in the Indianapolis area and hope a happy Thanksgiving was had by all.
